* Guest amenities, furnishings and bed linens top the shopping lists of hoteliers planning to attend the 89th International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, according to a recent survey of registered attendees. The survey polled members of the Show's owner associations--the American Hotel & Lodging Assn., the Hotel Association of New York City and the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Assn.--and asked each to indicate the major product and service categories they intended to purchase or specify during the 2004 Show. Two-thirds of respondents expressed interest in guest amenities, while more than 60 percent of respondents will be looking to source furnishings and bed linens. Additional categories of interest, including technology and food and beverage, were cited by at least half of the survey respondents. The show is scheduled to run Nov. 13-16.
