Pegasus Solutions, a global provider of hotel reservations-related services and technology, agreed to acquire Unirez, a hotel reservations services company, for $38 million. The transaction is expected to generate about $10 million in future tax deductions that will reduce the purchase price. In addition, Unirez appointed Pablo Alcala director of business development. He will be based in Miami and will spearhead the expansion of Unirez in the Southeast, the Caribbean and Latin America.
