Hotel & Motel Management, Feb 16, 2004 by Elaine Simon

* A Maritz Hospitality Research survey shows that establishing a perception of a collaborative partnership between a hotel and a planner throughout the meeting-planning process is critical to securing future business. The survey also showed that being responsive to the planner's needs and doing simple things like expressing appreciation for the business are linked to planner loyalty. The study, "2003 Meeting Planner: Choice, Experience, Loyalty Study" surveyed more than 1,700 meeting planners.
