Research conducted by PhoCusWright, an independent research firm, shows that hotel rates available through the AAA's Web site, www.aaa.com, generally are lower than those on the Expedia, Hotels.com, Orbitz and Travelocity Web sites. The study compared the AAA's online rates in 20 key metropolitan areas with those of the other four Internet sites where rates were available.
