Bowing to intense demands for more local shopping options and sales tax revenue, Davis City, Calif.'s city council recently approved zoning changes allowing a Ross Dress For Less store to open. Ross is now in negotiations with the developer to occupy 29,320 sq. ft. on a 5.7-acre parcel. An additional 12,500-sq.-ft. store space also will be built.
