Nippon Television Network Corp., Warner Bro. and Toshiba Corp. will form a joint-venture company called Towani Corp. to produce and distribute movies and television programs for the Japanese and world markets. Nippon Television and Warner Bros. will both take 33.3% stakes in Towani, while Toshiba and Time Warner Entertainment Japan will take stakes of 23.3% and 10%, respectively.

Towani plans to produce one to two movies per year from 2000 on, Towani will announce the outline of its first movie program in about six months and may also begin production of television programming.
