Lebhar-Friedman expands book publishing division

The division will operate with a series of imprints focused on the niche retail industries in which Lebhar-Friedman currently publishes magazines, newspapers, newsletters, directories and on-line products. In addition to DSN, the company's trade magazine titles include National Home Center News, Drug Store News, Chain Store Age and Nation's Restaurant News.

Under the direction of Geoff Golson, formerly with Macmillan/Simon & Schuster, Lebhar-Friedman Books plans to initially publish 24 titles annually in content areas including business-to-business retailing, how-to and management theory, educational training, business history and biography, restaurant guides, and lifestyle books..
