KNOXVILLE, TENN. -- Goody's Family Clothing reported that sales for its second quarter ended July 30, 1994, rose to $132.4 million from $110.6 million in the same quarter of fiscal '93. Comp store sales gained 1.3%.
Operating income fell, however, to $290,000 from $3.3 million. For its first half, sales increased to $256.7 million from $207.3 million. Same store sales rose 6.5%.
