CNC Goes Back To School

Modern Machine Shop, April, 2001 by Katherine A. Kelley

Strippit/LVD recently equipped Minneapolis Community & Technical College with a CNC turret punch press and a CNC hydraulic press brake to support its manufacturing and applied technology programs in precision metalforming. The equipment is housed in the college's new 4,300-square-foot Metalforming Training Center, which supports training on punch, turret, brake and bend press operations.

Over the next 2 years, 319 students will be trained as precision metalformers in areas ranging from basic metal stamping and press brake to advanced metalforming and setup.
