Modern Machine Shop, June, 2000 by Katherine A. Kelley
The company has a new addition to the Tsugami Swiss turn product line, the 3/4" capacity BS19B. The BS19B advantage is said to be faster, lower cost production, and it features a large capacity sliding headstock CNC lathe, packaged so that options are unnecessary. Standard packaging includes five-axis Fanuc 18iTA control, 5 hp 10,000 rpm main spindle with 15 degree indexing, seven OD turning stations, three ID tool stations with adapters, three back work tool stations with adapters, three cross drilling/milling stations, driven rotary guide bushing for use with water soluble coolant and more.
