High scan system
Paperboard Packaging, April, 2004
Kiwiplan's high scan system radio frequency scanner makes it easier to scan barcoded tags on highly-stacked roll stock, the company says. Developed in response to company requests, Kiwiplan's solution consists of an adjustable height telescopic pole that features a lightweight scanner at the top and a throttle-type handle with a foam hand grip and a recessed thumb pushbutton to activate the scanner. The high scan system solution eliminates the need for employees to use binoculars and clipboards when counting inventory, thereby increasing speed, efficiency and accuracy. The high scan system extends up to 18 feet. When held three feet off the ground, it can easily reach a three-high stack of 110-inch rolls.
