Capstone Property Group Inc. purchased Showplace, one of High Point, NC's major showroom buildings, according to The Greensboro News & Record. The group, which previously acquired the former office of GE Capital, located adjacent to Showplace, and three showrooms on north Hamilton Street, now controls approximately 1 million square feet of temporary and permanent showroom space, making it the third largest showroom property owner in High Point.
In addition to its use during the Spring and Fall International Furnishings Markets, Showplace was pressed into service for a kitchen and food show earlier this year that attracted nearly 10,000 visitors and will be the venue of the Piedmont New Car Festival in December.
