Formica Corp

Wood & Wood Products,  Jan, 2008

CentralValleyBusinessTimes.com said Formica Corp. of Rocklin, CA, a maker of laminates composed of paper and resins, was one of 10 California companies that voluntarily disclosed and corrected environmental violations, an action which helped it avoid substantial monetary penalties. According to the U.S.

Environmental Protection Agency, Formica failed to report use of regulated chemicals formaldehyde and phenol in 2001 and 2002. By admitting to the error and taking steps to correct it for the future, Formica was not assessed a possible $92,400 fine.
