The new BETA CNC Chisel Mortiser from Centauro, available through Premier Machinery Inc., has 3 CNC axes. Each axis is controlled by a brushless motor, travels on sliding blocks and is driven by a precision recirculating ball screw. The machine comes standard with a chisel head for rectangular slots and has the option of a router head or a hollow chisel head for square slots.
