Wood conference to examine the virtues of 'going green'
Wood & Wood Products, June, 2008
WEST LAFAYETTE, IN -- The state of the green building products movement in North America is the focus of a conference scheduled for Oct. 27 and 28 at the Downtown Sheraton Hotel in Indianapolis, IN.
"The Dollars and Sense of Going Green" represents a unique summit for hardwood lumber manufacturers and wood products manufacturers and industry suppliers. The program is being organized by the Department of Forestry at Purdue University and Wood & Wood Products in cooperation with the Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen's Assn., the Indiana State Department of Agriculture and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Department of Forestry.
The conference will provide a public forum to help attendees learn about the impact wood certification and green marketing of hardwood products is making at the national and international level.
The two-day program will consist of two general sessions of interest to all attendees, plus concurrent workshops that will cater to the specific needs of lumber producers and secondary wood products manufacturers.
In addition, day one of the conference will conclude with a networking reception featuring table-top exhibits hosted by representatives of board products, woodworking machinery and other interested parties.
