The Ligno-Scanner SD, a pinless wood moisture meter can measure 1/4- and 3/4-in.-deep. The dual depth scanner allows testing for thinner and thicker boards and the ability to test the same board for differences between surface and core moisture. Beneficial for scanning a large number of boards, the scanner can be used to detect higher moisture levers and water pockets. It also can be used when checking finished products such as cabinet doors and tabletops, where pin holes would leave visible marks, according to Lignomat.
