Four articles contributed by the Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC), illustrate the type of technical advances that will comprise the Petroleum Technology Digest to be published jointly by World Oil and PTTC in September. These four articles include: an overview of key points from several recent "survival-oriented" PTTC-industry workshops and three case studies: 1) reducing beam-pump costs with well diagnostic/control systems; 2) controlling water channeling with selective plugging; and 3) improving injection sweep with gel polymer treatment.
