KIMBERTON, PA. -- Nutrition Management Services Inc. reported a 73-percent gain in second-quarter net income, to $69,927, vs. the second quarter of one year ago. Chief executive Joseph Roberts attributed the increase to improved income from several accounts and reduced losses at its 17-month-old Collegeville Inn & Conference Center.

Revenue for the quarter was nearly $10 million, up 6.1 percent over the same year-ago period.
