IFDA elects new officers, board members

DALLAS -- The International Foodservice Distributors Association recently elected new officers and board members. The FDA board appointed Daniel Gordon, president of Gordon Food Service Inc., as chairman. Gordon succeeds Carolyn Doerle, president and chief executive of Doerle Food Services Inc. Michael Roach, president of Ben E. Keith Foods, was named vice chairman.

Members re-elected for three-year terms beginning in 2002 are Larry Abbott, Abbott Foods Inc.; Victor Crawford, Marriott Distribution Services; Ross Roeder, Smart & Final Inc.; James Miller, U.S. Foodservice Inc.; James Kite, Ellenbee-Leggett Co. Inc.; and John King, J. King's Foodservice Professionals. Christopher Mellow, president and chief executive of Maines Paper & Food Service Inc., was elected for a three-year term. W. Kent McCleIIand of Shamrock Foods Co. and David Stansfield of Institution Food House Inc. both were elected to the board for two-year terms.
