ATLANTA - The Hyatt Regency Atlanta was expected to tie its 30th-birthday celebration to a major fund-raiser to benefit Share Our Strength by kicking off 'The World's Largest Birthday Party' here May 2.
The following day 300 of the hotel's employees planned to take part in a community work project called Hyatt FORCE.
The Hyatt Regency Atlanta expected 3,000 guests to attend the Birthday Party charity event, which was slated to take place in its 30,000-square-foot Centennial Ballroom.
Featuring food, beverage, entertainment, dancing, celebrity bartenders and door-prize drawings, the Hyatt birthday party hoped to raise $30,000 for SOS, with funds earmarked to support the local Genesis Shelter Inc. and Federation of Southern Cooperatives.
