Nation's Restaurant News, Oct 19, 1998 by Bonnie King, Paul Cavanaugh
BRAS D'OR, Nova Scotia -- A Tim Horton's doughnut shop has become one of the hottest attractions in this small Atlantic Coast town; not because residents and tourists suddenly crave mass quantities of baked goods, rather, they're converging there to see an image that people say resembles Jesus Christ, which has appeared on the side of the building.
The image was discovered last month by staff at the nearby Lick-A-Chick restaurant. According to a waitress interviewed by Reuters News Service, the image is most visible at night, and appears to have moved along the wall from its original position.
A spokeswoman for Tim Horton's said the company is "puzzled by the whole situation." Evidently, however, the news has created more of a traffic nightmare than a restaurateur's dream, with people and cars jamming the streets around the shop.
There has been no word from the Vatican on what Christ may be craving with this latest appearance. Perhaps He's just looking for Elvis.
