Chefs on the Move

J.P. Amateau was named executive chef at the Parkway Grill in Pasadena, Calif. Before joining the restaurant, Amateau was the dining-room chef at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. [ldots] Jeffrey Boerst, who was executive sous chef at Chicago's Wyndham Hotel, was appointed executive chef at Tavern on Rush, also in Chicago [ldots] Eric Di Domenico was promoted from sous chef to executive chef at La Caravelle in New York.

The plans of the restaurant's previous executive chef, Cyril Renaud, are not yet clear [ldots] Executive chef Randy Emert moved from Paint Creek Cider Mill restaurant in Rochester, Mich., to Golden Mushroom in Southfield, Mich. [ldots] Jason Hice was named chef de cuisine at Bayard's in New York. His sous chef is Justin Panzer. They will work with Eberhard Muller, executive chef at Lutece in New York [ldots] Rick Lamoureux, executive chef at Villa Pescatore and Truffles in Naples, Fla., will move to Bayside Seafood Grill, another of Cuisine Management's properties. It also is in Naples [ldots] Kai Lerman was appointed executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia, following a stint as executive chef at The Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia [ldots] Cynthia Long was named pastry chef at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington. Before her appointment, Long worked at Savoy, also in Washington [ldots] Eduardo Macotto was named executive chef at Potowmack Landing in Fairfax, Va. Most recently he was at the Blue Iguana, also in Fairfax [ldots] John "Pete" Manfredini, a sous chef at the Culinary Institute of America's Greystone campus in Napa, Calif., was named executive chef at Chicago's Bluepoint Oyster Bar [ldots] Ricky Moore was named chef de cuisine of the Hyatt Arlington's Mezza 9 in Arlington, Va. Before his appointment, Moore was sous chef at Equinox in Washington [ldots] Robert Trainor, formerly executive chef at New York's Asia de Cuba, was named executive chef at Oscar's in the city's Waldorf-Astoria hotel.
