Nation's Restaurant News,  May 12, 2003

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The International Food & Beverage Forum recently inducted Michael and Ariane Batterberry, founders of Food & Wine and Food Arts magazines; and Jean-Marie Lacroix, executive chef of Lacroix at The Rittenhouse in Philadelphia, into their hall of fame.

Hans-Henrik Valimaki, chef de cuisine at Chez Dominique in Helsinki, Finland, was named Restaurateur of the Year and Alfonso Contrisciani of Alfonsos in Atlantic City, N.J., was named Johnson & Wales Alumni Restaurateur of the Year.

The hall of fame is housed in the Culinary Archieves & Museum at Johnson & Wales University here.

The IF&BF, composed of 50 industry leaders, says it aims to enhance global dialogue, knowledge and viable creativity as well as aid in the growth and education of future culinary and hospitality professionals.
