ROLLING MEADOWS, ILL. -- A policeman from Lake Genera, Wis., did nothing to dispel the stereotype about cops and doughnuts last month when he won the first Dunkin' Donuts World Cop Donut Eating Championship here.
In the contest, staged during the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association conference, Terry O'Brien are nine and a half doughnuts in three minutes to outdo 39 other competitors.

Master of Ceremonies Ed Nowicki told The Associated Press that he was shocked by the number it took for O'Brien to win. "I thought they'd do seven; maybe they'd do eight," Nowicki said.
