LAS VEGAS -- George Bargisen, executive chef of the Hilton hotel here, recently hit the jackpot when the Guinness Book of Records included him as the creator of the World's Largest Buffet, CNN reported.

Bargisen spent 24 hours straight creating a 500-foot smorgasbord of 510 different dishes to qualify for the distinction, including everything from salmon Wellington to fried alligator and pumpkin pie to baklava. In all there were 40 soups, 100 salads and 150 desserts to choose from.

Proceeds from the buffet, which cost $7.50 per person, were donated to America's Second Harvest, a hunger relief charity.
