For the record

Nation's Restaurant News, Jan 6, 2003

"Two cheers for Taco Bell, and let's hope the Panera guy has clean hands," Dec. 9, page 14, incorrectly stated that incumbent Dailey and Associates was not asked to defend the El Polio Loco ad account. The agency was invited to participate in the review but declined to do so.

"LEYE exits P.J. Clarke's role amid legal controversy," Dec. 2, page 4, described the end of Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises' management contract with the two P.J. Clarke's s in Chicago in a way that could be misinterpreted, according to Jonathan Segal, owner of the two restaurants. While the contract terminated at the end of September, as was reported, Segal and LEYE mutually decided "long before" that time to end the arrangement, he said.

"Industry operators question value of mystery shoppers," Dec. 16, page 1, contained a misspelling of the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland.
