NASHVILLE, TENN. -- Captain D's hired J. Michael Pearce as vice president of franchise development, replacing Darin Harris, who left to pursue other opportunities. Most recently, Pearce led franchising for the Back Yard Burgers chain. Captain D's, whose system has 570 quickservice restaurants in 23 states, said it is targeting Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit and Pittsburgh for expansion.
