Nation's Restaurant News, May 28, 2007
Dedham, Mass. -- D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches will feature Boston Red Sox slugger David "Big Papi" Ortiz in a TV spot for the first time in their three-year promotional partnership.
Ortiz will promote the chain's Steak and Cheese Sandwich. In the spot, a life-size sandwich interrupts Ortiz's thoughts when he's in the Red Sox locker room, the team's underground batting cages and his sport-utility vehicle until he finally gives in to his craving for the sandwich. The spot ends with the line, "Have you taken care of your craving this week?"
