Papa John's offers free music downloads, rolls out new pizza

LOUISVILLE, KY. -- Papa John's International Inc. launched a second promotion in its new "Pizza and Entertainment" campaign, partnering with Coca-Cola to offer free music track downloads.

The chain also rolled out a new Grilled Chicken Club pizza.

The "4 & More" promotion offers four music downloads from Musicmatch, a music Web site, to customers who buy four 20-ounce Coca-Cola beverages for $3.99. The beverages come in a carrier that contains a sticker imprinted with a code that allows access to the download site.

Print and broadcast ads are supporting the promotion.

In addition, Papa John's is giving away DVDs to customers who buy a large Grilled Chicken Club or any other pizza. The new product contains grilled all-white-meat chicken, hickory-smoked bacon, sliced onions and Roma tomatoes.

The "Pizza and Entertainment" campaign, launched in early May, is a new marketing direction for the 2,801-unit chain, in which it is focusing on new products.
