AH&LA honor 13 high-school teachers

ORLANDO, FLA. -- The American Hotel & Lodging Association presented 13 high-school lodging management teachers with the Teacher Excellence Award at the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show in Chicago last month. The award recognizes exceptional instructors who use the Lodging Management Program school-to-career curriculum.

Recipients of the award are Rhonda Bond, Harbor High School, Wash.; Debbie Brown, Carbon County Higher Education, Wyo.; Ken Roussard, Bernalillo High School, N.M.; Lavon Campos, Westwood High School, Ariz.; Barbara Conn., West Warwick High School, R.I.; Brenda Foster, Tulsa Technology Center, Okla., Kelli Gambrel, Southeastern Career Center, Ind.; Marlene Greenleaf, South Charleston High School, W. Va.; Sharon Johnson, Earle High School-Dunbar Career Center, Ark.; Crystal Kapps, Lake Geneva Area High Schools/The Grand Geneva Resort and Spa, Wis.; Connie Porter, North Myrtle Beach High School, S.C.; Rochelle Stanfill, Jefferson High School, Fla.; and Joanne Wells, Green Mountain Technical & Career Center, Vt.
