The Child Nutrition Foundation, an arm of the American School Food Service Association, chose schools in six cities to develop School Community Kitchens. The cities are Clint, Texas; Hampton, Va.; Holyoke, Mass.; Inkster, Mich.; Lutcher, La.; and Sheffield, Ala. SCKs provide meals to needy families and also train prospective foodservice employees.
