AURORA, ILL. -- Robert Morris College is expected to debut the Institute of Culinary Arts at its DuPage campus here July 29. Fifteen students are scheduled to begin their studies at that time and more than 70 others will attend the accelerated associate's degree program beginning in September. It is a six-quarter, 15-month program.
Facilities will include a demonstration kitchen with 24 student stations, each with its own oven, range, refrigerator and storage. The kitchen will be equipped with raised video monitors and a hook-up for international satellite feeds.
The institute also will boast a professional-grade kitchen and a tasting and dining room with climate-controlled wine storage facilities.

In addition, students will have the opportunity to spend an academic quarter at the Apicius Cooking School in Florence, Italy.
