Taco Del Mar website features 'guess how many teddy bears' contest

SEATTLE -- Consumers who visit www.tacodelmar.com have a chance to win two tickets on Alaska Airlines if they come closest to guessing how many teddy bears the Taco Del Mar chain has collected during a summer promotion.

The chain of nearly 180 quick-service restaurants has added Wild Alaskan Salmon Tacos to its menu for a limited time and is using a bears motif to promote the rellout.

A supporting TV spot shows bears running in and out of a Taco Del Mar to get the taco. Customers can receive a free taco if they bring a new teddy bear to one of the chain's restaurants. Taco Del Mar plans to donate the bears to local children's hospitals at the end of summer.

"If every store collects 20 or 25 bears this summer, we're talking thousands of teddy bears for children's hospitals," said marketing director Erin Gilbert.
