Nation's Restaurant News, July 28, 2008

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- The Culinary Institute of America will offer a leadership program for professional chefs at its campus here this fall.

Sixteen chefs with five or more years of experience will be chosen to attend the Culinary Enrichment and Innovation Program --four three-day sessions conducted over 18 months. Each education module will include classroom instruction conducted by certified master chefs at the CIA's main campus, one-on-one interaction with leading culinarians, and hands-on time in the institute's kitchens. The program's curriculum was created by the CIA in coordination with Hormel Foods Corp.'s foodservice division.

Applications are being accepted through Aug. 1 for enrollment in inaugural classes beginning in October. Applications and additional information are at www.ceipinfo.com.
