Chinese restaurant has 'fun' with salads

Nation's Restaurant News, August 25, 2003

NEW YORK -- China Fun, which has two Iocations, both in Manhattan, has introduced two main-course salads for $6.75, including tea and fortune cookies. The restaurant said it was launching them in response to a perceived need for low-budget, fast meals. Both salads are guaranteed to be served within five minutes of ordering.

One salad is made from mesclun greens, roasted chicken and sesame seeds in lemon-mirin vinaigrette. The other is made from cold, steamed udon noodles, sesame seeds and mesclun greens tossed in a light peanut, garlic and Chinese parsley sauce.
