Cevette resigns; bw-3 chooses new agency

Nation's Restaurant News, August 31, 1998

MINNEAPOLIS - Citing "creative differences," Cevette and Co. resigned the $3 million ad account for bw-3/Buffalo Wild Wings. The agency declined to elaborate.

The restaurant chain awarded advertising duties to Periscope Marketing Communications.

Cevette was hired last November to produce bw-3's first national print and broadcast campaign to raise consumer awareness and upgrade the chain's image. At the time the first ads broke in March, chief executive John Cevette called the campaign "edgy."
