Nation's Restaurant News, Sept 2, 2002

PULLMAN, WASH. -- Washington State University's Board of Regents recently voted to raise the status of the hotel and restaurant administration program to the School of Hospitality Business Management. The school is part of the College of Business and Economics.

The title change is expected to improve job placement for graduates, provide more internships and scholarships for students, increase enrollment, attract top students and improve opportunities for conducting hospitality research, said W. Terry Umbreit, director of the school.
