Obsessed with big Macs, man notes and logs his capture of 23,000 McD burgers

FOND DU LAC, WIS. -- An obsessive-compulsive fan of McDonald's claims the disorder has caused him to consume 23,000 Big Macs over the last 36 years, according to a report by the Associated Press.

Dan Gorske, a 54-year-old man here, said he first began ordering Big Macs back in 1972. He said his fascination with numbers led him to watch how McDonald's tracks its customer counts. That inspired him to track his own consumption by storing each burger receipt in a box, which he's been doing since the beginning of his beef-eating odyssey.

Gorske said the only day he didn't eat a Big Mac was the day his mother died. He added that he doesn't care if people think his obsession is crazy because eating the burgers is the highlight of his days.
