ST. LOUIS -- Dierdorf & Hart's Steak House here gave $20,000, representing more than one-third of total sales generated during a recent midsummer week, to seven community charities in celebration of its 20th anniversary.
The benefiting causes were Fourteen Fund, the St. Louis Blues' charitable trust; Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital; St. Louis Crisis Nursery; Edward Jones YMCA; Cardinals Care, the community foundation of the St. Louis Cardinals; and Operation Food Search.
The restaurant, launched in 1983 by professional football celebrities Dan Dierdorf and Jim Hart, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals, operates at Westport Plaza in suburban Maryland Heights, Mo. Both sports personalities are still partners in the operation.
