NEW ORLEANS -- Pasta chain Semolina broke a 30-second TV spot in mid-October as part of a rebranding program intended to build excitement about the restaurant chain.
The spot, created by Logan Marketing Inc. of New Orleans, features a "pasta soundtrack" with saucepan drums, pasta maracas and pot-top cymbals. The spot is airing in New Orleans, Lafayette, La., and Mobile, Ala. The current rotation will last nine weeks.
The 15-unit chain is rebranding itself under the theme, "Semolina, Adventures in Pasta." Other efforts in the program include a new restaurant design, a new oversized menu and a redesigned Web site.
