Dave Nirenberg was named director of commerical services for California State University at Northridge. Nirenberg, who was associate director for Associated Students at UCLA, replaced Dean Calvo, who became director of auxiliary services for California State University at Los Angeles.

Aramark was hired to manage concessions and catering for the 8,600-seat Ted Constant Convocation Center at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va.

Aztec' Dining, Services, on the campus of San Diego State University, opened a Starbucks unit in West Commons. Mary Keysor, director of food and nutrition services at Maine Medical Center in Portland, was chosen as the 2Q02 Angelo Gagliano Operator of the Year from the National Society for Healthcare Food service Management.
