Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedAgency review launched for Checkers, Rally's restaurants
Nation's Restaurant News, Nov 28, 2005
TAMPA, FLA. -- Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. has launched an ad agency review for its 793 Checkers and Rally's Hamburgers units and will conclude the review around Feb. 1, 2006, according to vice president of marketing Richard Turer.
MARC USA of Pittsburgh currently holds the account, valued at more than $20 million, and created the "You Gotta Eat" campaign, which broke in 2001. MARC won the account in 2000.
"You Gotta Eat" has been very successful for the brands, Turer said, and "we're not suggesting we walk away from that." Checkers hopes to leverage the effectiveness of the campaign, he said, but the company will "entertain all concepts" during the review.
