Nation's Restaurant News, Jan 24, 2005

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Industry operators can get help with their business strategies through a new consulting division of The Culinary Institute of America's Continuing Education Department here.

The Industry Solutions Group draws on resources from programs at the CIA's main campus to help operators strategize and research ideas in order to stay competitive. The division is the result of proprietary research conducted by the Boston Consulting Group, which identified specific industry needs in the marketplace. It is open to operators as well as manufacturers.

The CIA is a private college that offers bachelor's and associate's degrees in culinary arts and baking and pastry arts. It also has a campus at Greystone in St. Helena, Calif.
