Burger King same-store sales increase 9.1% in November

Nation's Restaurant News, Dec 20, 2004

MIAMI -- Burger King Corp., operator and franchisor of more than 11,200 Burger King restaurants, reported a 9.1-percent increase in U.S. systemwide same-store sales for November. It was the 10th consecutive month of positive U.S. same-store sales.

BK, which franchises about 90 percent of its chain, said same-store sales rose 8.6 percent at U.S. franchised stores and 14.2 percent at corporate units. The company credited new menu offerings, including the Angus steak burger, for the uptick in sales.

An investment group led by Texas Pacific Group, which includes Bain Capital and Goldman Sachs Capital Partners, owns Burger King Corp.
