McDonald's continues upward same-store sales in November

OAK BROOK, ILL. -- McDonald's Corp.'s worldwide same-store sales jumped 6.2 percent in November, aided by a 5.1-percent same-store sales gain at McDonald's outlets in the United States, the company reported Dec. 8. The company cited its Snack Wrap and its breakfast and late-night dayparts as sales drivers for domestic restaurants.

Same-store sales rose 8.4 percent in Europe and 4.3 percent in the company's Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa region. Total systemwide sales, in constant currencies, increased 7.2 percent in November, the company reported. The jump reflected system sales gains of 5.7 percent, 9.5 percent and 6.6 percent in the United States, Europe and the Asia-Pacific/Middle East/Africa region, respectively.
