T.G.I. Friday's inks four pacts for 21 intl. sites

DALLAS -- TGI Friday's Inc., a division of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide, signed four international agreements for a total of 18 T.G.I. Friday's restaurants and three Friday's Cafe locations over the next seven years.

Benelux Restaurant Group will develop five T.G.I. Friday's in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg over the next five years, with the first slated to open in May 2002.

Rostik Investment Group will open three T.G.I. Friday's and three Friday's Cafe restaurants in Madrid and parts of Northern Spain and the Canary Islands over the next seven years, with the first to open this November.

Gladley's Ltd. will open three T.G.I. Friday's over the next three years in Andalusia in Southern Spain. The first unit is scheduled to open this June.

TG Restaurantes will open seven T.G.I. Friday's in Northern Mexico over the next seven years, with the first scheduled to open in June 2002.
