Nation's Restaurant News, March 3, 2008
OAK BROOK, ILL. -- McDonald's Corp. has unleashed Sharkbait II, a follow-up to last year's Sharkbait online game, which has been enhanced to allow players to "sharkify" themselves.
The game, found on www.filetofish.com, tests how long players can keep a Filet-O-Fish sandwich away from hungry sharks. Players can "sharkify" themselves by creating a personalized shark avatar with facial, color and clothing features. Also new this year are local geographic areas where players can compete against others in the region.

The game supports a multimedia effort including TV and radio spots for the general and Hispanic markets, outdoor ads, point-of-purchase material and a mobile-phone component to promote McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich.
Moroch Partners of Dallas created the game for the chain, which has nearly 14,000 U.S. units.
