WESTPALM BEACH, Fla.-- TooJay's, a popular New York-style deli concept that has operated in south Florida since 1981, will open its first Tampa franchise in late spring.
That unit will be launched by Tampa-based Southern Restaurant Management Corp., which owns TooJay's franchise rights for Georgia and Florida. S.R.M.C. has a 10-year plan for several units in both states. An Atlanta TooJay's is also hoped for this year.

Meanwhile, owners Marc Katzenberg and Jay Brown, who have nine TooJay's in south Florida, are pursuing joint ventures in Dade and Broward counties.
