BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Delaware North Cos. has named Douglas E. Simon president and Francis M. Kroboth vice president of finance of its international subsidiary. In addition, Rick Abramsom has been named director of operations for the corporation's recently acquired AVS subsidiary of Delaware North Pty. Ltd. in Australia.
Simon assumes the subsidiary's presidency from Richard T. Stephens, now Delaware North's president and chief operating officer. He will oversee the company's operations in Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, Kuwait and Russia as well as new business development globally.

Before joining Delaware North International in 1988, Simon was a general manager for the international foodservice division of the Dial Corp. in Alaska and Saudi Arabia. He also held hotel and restaurant management positions at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Before his promotion, Kroboth served as director of finance for the corporation's Australian operation.
Previously, Abramson was the assistant director of operations for Sportservice Corp., Delaware North's largest domestic foodservice subsidiary.
