SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Canteen Corp. has reorganized its food and vending division into three geographic areas.
The company also reported the sale or franchising of several Canteen operations.
The new areas will include an Eastern Division, Central Division and the State of California. In addition, Canteen will appoint two national sales representatives to target accounts in the health-care and education segments.
The moves are intended to maximize service and position the company for growth, said Joseph A. Aprile, president of the food and vending division.

Anthony J. Gagliardi, 44, has been named president of the new Eastern Division; George R. Wright, 50, has been named president of the Central Division; and Alfred C. Proudfoot, 37, has been named area vice president of operations for the State of California.
Along with its food and vending division, Spartanburg, S.C.-based Canteen Corp. operates Volume Services and TW Recreational Services. Canteen is a subsidiary of Flagstar Cos. Inc. and had revenues of $1.37 billion in 1993.
